Halloween!

We were hoping that Matt would make it home in time to trick-or-treat with us this Halloween, especially since he was deployed last year.  In a wonderful surprise, Matt showed up on our doorstep on Friday night!  Saturday (Halloween), we were able to enjoy the entire day together as a family!

In the afternoon, Matt and Audrey carved a jack-o-lantern together.  Audrey was so tired from the excitement of the day that she actually fell asleep again (after her nap) on the couch while eating her snack. I was so surprised because she rarely falls asleep outside of her normal nap and bed times!  I actually had to wake her up to get her into her Halloween costume.

We have to thank Gram (my mom) for the fantastic princess outfit Audrey wore this year.  My mom made the beautiful purple princess costume, and Audrey loved it.  The outfit fit her perfectly, and she was able to trick-or-treat all over our neighborhood.  Timothy, Audrey's great friend, joined us for trick-or-treating.  The kids loved going door to door together, even if they did fight over who got to ring the doorbells first (which struck me as humorous, since Audrey couldn't reach the door bell anyway).  After trick-or-treating, we came back to our house and Audrey helped us hand out candy to other trick-or-treaters.  She was completely exhausted by her bedtime!
