F-16 Spouse Taxi Ride

Last Friday, I had the opportunity to take a taxi ride in an F-16.  Essentially, I wore a flight suit, got fitted for a helmet and mask, went through egress training (getting in the jet and out, particularly in the case of an emergency), then got to ride in the back seat of a two-seat training F-16.  No, the jet didn't take off (unfortunately).  The pilot simply taxis down the runway at high speeds with me along for the ride.  This was my first taxi ride in an F-16, so I really enjoyed the experience.  The most amazing thing was sitting in the jet, looking around, and realizing that my husband flies the F-16 almost every day!  I am just so proud of my husband and the other pilots that fly these jets on a daily basis.  It's just so cool!
