Poor Claire is sick. She's had a fever off and on over the weekend, so I took her to the doctor this morning. It turns out that she has a double ear infection. Yikes! We have medicine, though, and she's quite the trooper. I'm praying she'll be 100% again in just a few days.
Because Claire was out of sorts this weekend, we rearranged our family plans. This past weekend was Luke AFB's Air Show. It's a big deal, and quite the show (from what I've been told). We had all planned to go, but when Claire started running a fever, we decided that Daddy and Audrey would go together. So, Friday was a great day for our twosome. Matt took Audrey with him to work, and they watched all of the demo teams practice their routines (the actual air show was on Saturday and Sunday). Audrey was super impressed by the Thunder Birds. (And who can blame her?) She had the chance to sit in an airplane and a helicopter, and she also had some time playing with her friend, running around under a parked F-16. After returning home for a few hours of down time, Daddy took Audrey BACK to base to see a special night air show just for military families! Audrey's favorite part was watching the jump team parachute out of their aircraft wearing lights. It was a light show in the sky!
Daddy returned with Audrey asleep on his shoulder... She went right to bed and slept soundly until morning, dreaming of airplanes and lights!
