Claire's Big Day

          Well, it might not seem like a big day to some, but Claire had a chance to eat cereal for the first time just after Matt returned from Vegas.  I remember this milestone with Audrey, and it just marks a transition - a transition from infant to baby.  I love that Claire is growing up, but it also makes my heart a bit sad to know that we are moving beyond her tiny newborn and infant phases.

          That being said, I am so glad Matt had the chance to spoon feed Claire for the first time.  (When Audrey began solid foods, Matt was in Korea and we were at my parents' house).  Claire didn't exactly love her rice cereal, but she did eat about half a tablespoon.  I can't say I would love to eat rice cereal either, so I quickly gave her a chance to sample some pureed sweet potato.  She definitely enjoyed the sweet potato more than the rice cereal.
