Tolmochoff Farms

One Thursday morning in the second week of October, we visited a local farm to do some "fall" activities.  I use quotation marks around the word fall because it definitely did not feel like fall here in Arizona.  By 10:30 am, the temperature was hovering above 95 degrees!  And visiting a farm in the center of metro Phoenix also felt a bit strange.  That being said, the farm was a lot of fun.  We met two other families there, and we began by exploring.  We discovered farm animals to pet (chickens, geese, donkeys, cows, sheep, and horses).  A little play ground enticed a few of the kids, but then they all saw the "train" being pulled by a 4-wheeler.  Claire and Audrey sat together, but when Claire realized I wasn't going to try to squeeze myself into the barrel with them, she cried and decided to let Audrey ride by herself.
After the train ride, we did a short, toddler-friendly version of the corn maze.  (The mini-maze was 10 minutes in length, whereas the full blown maze was estimated to take over an hour to complete).  Audrey and her friends were thrilled to run through the maze as fast as possible, with me chasing close behind!  We ended our morning at the farm by picking out a few pumpkins to take home with us.  As you'll see in my photos, the pumpkins rode to the van in the stroller and both girls walked!
