Audrey and I joined my parents, my brother and sister-in-law, and my sister-in-law's parents for a fishing weekend at Bennett Springs State Park near Lebanon, Missouri. Audrey had a great time hiking, walking, picking flowers, and feeding the trout at the hatchery. Audrey's favorite part of the weekend, though, was getting to fish for the first time with her very own pole! Pa took her fishing two times, and she loved to reel in the bait. She even practiced her casting. Uncle Stuart fished with us the second time, and he "caught a rock" and let Audrey reel it in! Audrey would fish for a few minutes, throw a few pebbles in the river, fish again, get a drink, fish, pick flowers, and fish some more. She didn't mind that she did not catch any trout because she had so much fun trying!
