The heat is here...

          Well, summer comes early in Arizona (at least in Phoenix).  And this week, we are consistently hitting temps above 100 degrees!  Early morning outings are becoming essential, and sunscreen sits by every door.  Swim suits are washed and beach towels are available, as we'll soon be spending most of our outdoor time in or near water!  Just before the heat rolled in, we had a few days of wonderful, crisp weather.  One afternoon, we even had rain!  The reaction of my daughters made me laugh - it is obvious that we don't see rain often here.  Audrey saw the rain and immediately grabbed an umbrella and boots.  Claire was more cautious, but she still wanted to explore in the rain with her sister.  And so, the Russell girls splashed to their hearts' delight for the full five minutes that the rain lasted!
