We love visitors! We just got to spend an entire week with Nana B (Matt's mom), and it was amazing! Nana B flew in from Florida, and she brought lots of fun with her. We spent part of the week just incorporating Nana B into our normal routine. She got to see Audrey's school and meet our friends. She bonded and played with Claire. We took her to see Matt's squadron and the base. Nana B also shared her loves with us. She made us dinner one night. She and Audrey did some sort of project almost every day. From making her famous sugar pecans to baking cookies, the girls baked up a storm. Nana B and Audrey also made craft projects -- adorable picture frames AND personalized magnets (one for each of Audrey's classmates and family members).
Over the weekend, we drove to Scottsdale to spend time with our relatives -- Nana B's cousins and Aunt Marilyn. The day in Scottsdale was so much fun! We played at the Gleason house until lunch time. The Gleason's took us to lunch overlooking a beautiful desert lake! After lunch, we were able to spend some time visiting Aunt Marilyn. We ended our day exploring old town Scottsdale. On Sunday, we took Nana B to our church. Then she graciously watched the girls so Matt and I could attend a meeting for our Africa mission trip. That night, we had a BBQ and invited our wonderful neighbors to join us.
On our last full day with Nana B, we played, spent time at our neighborhood splash pad and playground, and tried to get a few family photos. (You'll notice in the pictures that Claire was not too thrilled about picture time--we did the best we could and still snagged a few cute pics). Also, a HUGE thanks to Nana B for the beautiful dresses she made for Audrey and Claire! They look adorable in their matching summer outfits. We ate dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Buca di Beppo's! We were sad to see Nana B fly home, but we truly enjoyed our week together! Thank you, Nana B!!
