The Last 9 Weeks...

          Has it really been two months since Claire arrived?  I would say the time has definitely gone by fast. This might be a combination of factors, such as having a baby just before the holidays, having our second baby (meaning I can't slow down as much since I'm always chasing our first), or having no concept of time because I am so exhausted.  Regardless of the reasons, Claire is two months old now.

          Claire is the best little baby.  She eats well, sleeps consistently, and is generally a happy little girl.  That being said, I am a wimp.  I just don't handle the lack of sleep.  At all.  I try to be tough, but there's no use faking it.  I figure I am better off facing it honestly.  I need a full night's rest to function at my best, and if it weren't for strong coffee in the morning, I might not have the ability to make it through the day without falling asleep at the table, on the couch, in the bathroom, you name it.  I know I shouldn't complain, though.  Claire definitely is not a super sleeper that sleeps eight hour stretches, but she will sleep four to six hours at night, eat, and go immediately back to sleep.  That means I am up once or twice for a half hour to forty-five minutes and then I go back to sleep.  Every once in awhile, Audrey will randomly wake up in between Claire's feedings or a dog will throw up in the night.  Then, I'm really pathetic the next day!  Like I said, I am a wimp.  At least I know that this phase does end!  Before too long, I will have seven or more hours of continuous sleep.  Sweet, sweet sleep.  Need more sleep...

          I think our camera is about to die.  Matt might disagree.  Maybe I just have it set incorrectly or have forgotten how to work the camera we've had now for at least 5 years.  Or maybe I'm just too tired to really know what I'm doing.  All I know is that the quality of our photos are getting worse.  In most shots, poor Claire looks yellow.  The pictures are often fuzzy.  But, for now, our little Elph is all we have (unless I'm with my parents and using their amazing camera).  So, I apologize for the quality of the photos in our slideshow, but you'll at least see how much Claire has changed.  There are also some adorable shots of Audrey playing with Claire on the baby mat.  Audrey was showing toys to Claire and just enjoying her role as a big sister!
