On the mornings when we don't have to rush to be somewhere, I like to take it easy for at least an hour (breakfast, a cartoon, pj's still on). Audrey initially wakes up ready to go, but she quickly enters a mellow zone and just likes to relax for a bit before we really get going. The other day, I walk in to get her for breakfast and found her actually lying on Buddy! He, of course, doesn't care at all. He probably loves it. We have a picture of Audrey snuggling with Buddy when she was just a few months old, so I took advantage of Buddy's position and let Claire have a turn snuggling with him. He really wanted to lick her face, so I had to act fast. Finally, both girls were resting on their backs on the floor, and Audrey reached out and took Claire's hand. I really am looking forward to the day when the girls actually play together!
