Richmond, Virginia!

At the end of August, Matt had to fly in Vegas (for work). Rather than spend the entire 15 day period by ourselves in Sumter, Audrey and I headed up to Richmond, VA. Surprisingly, the trip is only a five hour drive. The reason we made a five day trip to Richmond? At the moment, four members of my family are living in the area. Spencer and Lara have been in Richmond since the spring while Spencer does some training with the Army. Stuart and Courtney just moved to the area at the beginning of the month. Audrey absolutely loves spending time with her aunts and uncles, so we were happy to make the trip to visit family.

We spent the first few days at Spencer and Lara's, and Lara acted as a magnificent tour guide. Well, actually, we dragged her to several kiddo attractions in the area. Lara joined Audrey and I at the Richmond children's museum and at a very fun jump house filled with bouncy castles! We spent the second part of our trip at Stuart and Courtney's place. On Saturday, all of us had a great afternoon at the Chesterfield County Fair - riding rides, playing games, and looking at the animals. Audrey had a pony ride, although she actually chose to ride the biggest horse in the lot! We spent Sunday afternoon playing at a local park.

We loved our time in Richmond, and Audrey was actually very sad when we had to say goodbye to her aunts and uncles. Time with family always goes by too quickly.
